For most ceramic tile and natural stone flooring owners, the mop used with a mild detergent is the standard cleaning method. While it initially appears to work fine, over time the tile darkens as household contaminants begin to build up on the surface. The grout lines also darken as they absorb cleaning agents and dirt.
Our trained technicians will restore the beauty of your ceramic tile, natural stone and grout using a safe power wash method and environmentally safe products.
Designed to last forever, your ceramic tile and natural stone will provide many years of aesthetic appeal and performance with proper care.
Grout Sealing
After we clean the ceramic tile and grout, we apply a deep penetrating, heavy-duty grout sealer. This strong, natural look protection resists tough oil and water-based stains. Your grout will be easier to clean and stay clean longer.

Your carpets should be cleaned on a schedule and not simply when they look dirty or when relatives are about to drop in for a visit. Your carpets are one of the biggest investments in your house. It is important that they last a long time. In this article we’ll take a look at some key factors to help your decide which is right for your home.
The frequency of cleaning depends on a number of factors:
How many people live in the house?
How much use does it get?
Are there smokers in the house?
Does anyone in the family have allergies?
How much use does it get? One person alone in a big house will not produce the load of soil that a family of active children will. Are there smokers in the house? Smoke gets trapped in the carpet fibers and can be a source of odors. Does anyone in the family have allergies? This calls for more frequent cleaning.
The newest studies show that carpet floors are better for allergy sufferers than hard surface floors. The reason? On a hard surface, floor allergens such as dust mites and their droppings, pollens and mold spores are easily stirred up every time someone passes by or something stirs the air. A carpet traps these allergens and other pollutants as well. However, if the carpet is not cleaned on a regular basis the filtering capacity of the carpet gets over-loaded.

With proper maintenance, regular vacuuming, entry mats to catch dirt that would be tracked into the carpet, etc. an average residential carpet would need to be cleaned every 12 months. Sooner for smokers, allergy sufferers or carpets that get heavy use. This time can be extended up to 18 months for carpets that get limited use.
When is the best time of year to clean those carpets? Late fall is optimal. Any pollutants, abrasive soil and oil needs to be removed before winter when most homes get more tightly shut up. If the climate in your area allows for keeping doors or windows open year round it doesn’t matter what time of year.
When is the best time of day to clean your carpets? When you can be off them for 6 to 8 hours. Most professional carpet cleaners can have your carpet dry to the touch in just a few hours, but there can still be some moisture present. Walking on damp carpets allows any soil on your shoes to track off and resoil the carpet. It can also be a slip hazard if you walk from freshly cleaned carpet onto vinyl or a hard surface.
The first step is to perform a Bid. This inspection process will determine the type of cleaning method that is most suitable for your home. From the results, together we can determine the best techniques to return your carpet to peak condition.

Newport Beach CA
Doing the laundry is a regular part of your routine, but what about your furniture?
Just like your clothes, furniture upholstery gets soiled from regular use and needs to be cleaned.
“Any fabric, not unlike clothes, will absorb oils from your skin,” says Jeff Bryant, owner of Pacific Carpet Cleaning in Newport Beach, CA. Furniture also picks up hair and oils left behind by pets.
How often you clean your furniture depends on whether it’s in a high-traffic area, such as a family room, or if it’s rarely used.
“If it’s a chair you sit in every day, you’re going to want to clean it at least once a year,” Bryant says. “Most people don’t think about it that way.”
Furniture upholstery is more delicate than carpet, and colors can fade easily if you don’t use the right upholstery cleaner. In most cases, Bryant says, it’s best to leave regular cleaning to the professionals.
Depending on the type of fabric, most professional upholstery cleaners will either steam-clean furniture upholstery or use a dry-cleaning solvent.
The cost of cleaning depends on the size of the furniture, the kind of fabric and the condition of the furniture.
Typically, the cost to clean an armchair or recliner ranges from $30 to $50, Pacific says, while most customers will pay $50 to $60 for a love seat. The cost of having a couch cleaned can range from $70 to $80, and a larger sectional sofa can cost between $100 and $150, he adds.
Cleaning over-sized or overstuffed furniture can cost a bit extra, Pacific says.
Does pre-treating your furniture pay off?
Is it worth it to get your furniture pre-treated to prevent stains?
Clumpner says it can be.
When you’re buying new furniture, you can pay extra — $60 to $150 at most retailers, depending on the size of the sofa, to get your furniture pre-treated with a fabric protector. If you go the DIY route, you can expect to pay between $6 and $13 per can for a stain protector, such as Scotchgard, at most major stores.
In the end, the extra money can be well worth it.
“It creates a non-stick coating,” Bryant says, which repels both dry soiling like dirt and dust, as well as liquid spills and stains. “It really does work if you get the right chemical.”
You can tackle some furniture upholstery stains yourself, but there are times when it’s best to call in a professional.
Do you have funky furniture in desperate need of a cleaning? Here are four things to consider before you hire an upholstery cleaner.
1. Inspect furniture
If it’s a small spot, such as a minor drink spill or an ink stain, you may be able to clean it yourself using a few DIY tips. But for stubborn stains, pet odors or furniture that’s in need of a deep cleaning, you may want to hire a professional upholstery cleaning company.
2. Review warranty
If your furniture is still under warranty, cleaning it on your own may invalidate the warranty. Read over your warranty paperwork before attempting any cleaning. If you decide to hire a professional upholstery cleaner, discuss the warranty with the company before they begin work. There may be extra steps they’ll need to take to maintain your warranty. If you are unsure what your warranty requires, contact the company that holds the warranty.
3. Check references
“Check their reputation online,” says Jeff Bryant, owner of Pacific Carpet Cleaning in Newport Beach. Read reviews on a trusted website to see what other customers have to say.
If you’re doing a full-room cleaning, including carpeting, you may want a company that’s equipped with a truck-mounted steam cleaner. For furniture only, a portable steam cleaner should do the job, Bryant says.

Take care of your ceramic tile floors with a gentle hand and a few smart cleaning techniques, which will keep your tiles and grout looking like new.
Tile Floor Cleaning Basics
Sweep or vacuum your glazed tile floors regularly to keep them from getting dull. Tiles may be resistant to dirt, but sand and grit can dull glazed surfaces. Clean tile with mild detergent and clean water, using a rag or chamois-type mop rather than a sponge mop. The latter pushes dirty water into grout lines and makes them harder to clean. Be sure to change the water frequently while mopping; dirty water equals a cloudy floor.
If your tiles look hazy, you might be dealing with soapy residue. Remove the film with a nonabrasive all-purpose cleaner. You could also try a mild acid — such as fresh lemon juice — on ceramic tiles (but never on marble). Rinse thoroughly with clean water, and buff dry with a clean lint-free cloth. Be kind to your knees and dry tiles the easy way: by using your foot to slide the cloth over the floor.
Great-Looking Grout
The real secret to a great-looking tile floor is clean grout. Grout is porous and absorbs grease and other stains. Skip commercial cleaners and instead make a paste of baking soda and water. Rub it on the stain, let it sit overnight, then scrub the stain in the morning with a stiff nylon brush (a metal brush will damage the grout). Repeat as necessary. Apply a silicone-base sealer to the grout to repel future stains.
Floor-covering trends come and go, but according to ISSA’s Value of Cleaning white paper, ceramic flooring is becoming more and more popular in the United States. There are several good reasons behind this trend. Ceramic tile is:
• Relatively inexpensive
• Highly durable
• Made from clay and sand, which are very sustainable materials
• Available in a variety of glazes, colors, and designs
• Relatively easy to clean and maintain.
“However, over time, soiling, stains and grime can collect and become trapped in the pores and grout lines of ceramic tile,” says Eric Hickman, a cleaning expert and product manager for Powr-Flite. “If neglected, these floors can then develop a soiled appearance and bacteria and mold can even develop. To avoid this, proper care and cleaning is imperative to maintain ceramic tile’s appearance.”
It is recommended that cleaning professionals follow the following tips when caring for ceramic floors:
• Clean daily. It is often best to vacuum ceramic tiling using a backpack vacuum cleaner instead of sweeping; this is more effective and helps protect indoor air quality.
• When mopping, use a clean mop and bucket and a mild, all-purpose cleaner.
• When heavily soiled, these floors may need to be machine scrubbed.
• Use a wet/dry vacuum to extract solution and soils from flooring after scrubbing; this helps to prevent them from resettling on the floor.
“The big problem with ceramic tile is usually the grout areas,” adds Hickman. “[Try to] avoid cleaning grout by hand; it’s time consuming, exhausting, and because of the chemical fumes, not that healthy.”
Instead, use a cylindrical brush floor machine. Hickman comments that the brushes make the machines more effective at removing soils that can become embedded in a floor’s pores or grout.
His final suggestion: “If at all possible, avoid applying a sealant or finish to ceramic tiles. It is usually unnecessary and can just increase the time, labor and costs of maintaining the floor.”
